Rocks on the Road   Jethro Tull

ROCKS ON THE ROAD
[Cm]    There's a black cat [Bb]down on the Key [Cm]side
Ship's light, [Bb]green eyed glowing in the [Fm]dark
[Cm]To young cops [Bb]handing out a [Ab]big [Cm]debt [Ab]
Know how to hurt and leave no [G]mark [G7]
We're [Cm]down in the [Bb]half lit bar of the [Cm]hotel
There's a [Bb]call for the last round of the [Fm]day
Push back a stool, take that elevator [Ab]ride
Fall in bed and kick my [Bb]shoes a[Cm]way
Kick my shoes a[Ab]way, kick my shoes a[Fm]way
Rocks on [Bb]the [Cm]road,   yea
Can't sleep to the [Bb]wild sound of [Cm]a city
You call for the [Bb]young boys heading for a [Fm]fight
Long distance telephone keeps ringing out of [Ab]gage
Wonder who your talking [Bb]with to[Cm]night
Talking with to[Ab]night, your talking with to[Fm]night
Rock on [Bb]the [Cm]road,    yea
Tire coming w[Bb]akes me in the m[Cm]orning
Shower runs hot, [Bb]runs cold playing with [Fm]me
[Cm]I'm up for the [Bb]downside, [Ab]life in[Cm]vention, all that [Ab]stuff
So come and shake some [Eb]apples from my [G7]tree
[Cm]Have to pay on the [Bb]mini[Ab]bar man[Cm]ners
Itemized [Bb]phone bill over[Fm]load[F] [Fm]
Well I'm, now how about some heavy [Ab]road
Move these rocks [Bb]on the [Cm]road
On the [Ab]road, rocks on the [Fm]road, [Bb]mum[Cm]hum
[Cm]   [Bb]   [Ab]   [Gm]      [Cm]   [Bb]   [Ab]   [Gm]    [Fm]    Crumbs on a breakfast[Eb] table[Bb] [Fm]
And a million other little things to [Eb]spool my [Gm]day

To chase it all a[Fm]way, chase it all a[Dm]way

[Am]   [Bb]   [Ab]     [Am]   [Bb]   [Ab]    [Am]   [Bb]   [Ab]    [Gm]       Hello,
I thought you might like to correct some of the lyrics you have wrong for
"Rocks on the Road".
There's a black cat down on the quayside
Ships lights, green eyes glowing in the dark
Two young cops handing out a beating
Know how to hurt and leave no mark
Well down in the half lit bar of the hotel
There's a call for the last round of the day
Push back my stool, take that elevator ride
Fall in bed and kick my shoes away
Can't sleep through the wild sound of the city
Hear a car full of young boys heading for a fight
Long distance telephone keeps ringing out engaged
Wonder who your talking with tonight
Tired plumbing wakes me in the morning
Shower runs hot runs cold playing with me
I'm up for the downside, lifes a bitch and all that stuff
So come and shake some apples from my tree
Had to pay for my minibar madness
Itemized phone bill overload
Well now, how about some heavy rolling?
Move these rocks on the road
Crumbs on the breakfast table
And a million other little things to spoil my day
How about a little light music
To chase it all away
Hope this is of some help. (Your web page is excellent)
Good Luck,
David Burrows.
